Page 27 – sprinkled with silver stars (Artists & Illustrators perspective)

The narrative continues and with it the illuminations. Illumination-wise, this page is filled with stars – in four separate arenas all down the page. Also twice on this page we get the word “Princess” with it’s accompanying coronets.

And as long as we are encountering standard illuminations, we have a batch of morning-glories under their name as well.

Only two unique illuminations appear on this page. The first is the open book that enters the page stage left near the bottom. Look carefully at this one, it is quite detailed. Not only does it have the page numbers and delineated margins, but the writing is also clearly discernible. Check it out and see what is written there. Quite an illumination!

It appears to be a butterfly resting on the ascender of the “l”. The fact that he is 'sitting' just gives it limitless charm, in my opinion.
